Gear Swap

We are collecting donations of used baseball clothing and equipment (in clean working order) that players have outgrown or no longer used. This gear will be available on Opening Day, Saturday April 8th for players that are in need of good used gear for the upcoming season.

Donations of gear can be made on the following days:
Mon, April 3rd from 5:00-6:30
Wed, April 5th from 5:00-6:30
Any day/night that there is a practice for either 11U or 13U (see the Calendar tab on our website)
Opening Day, but the earlier the better so more people can see what is available.

While we are offering this used gear at no charge to those that can make use of it the best, we will be accepting cash donations that will be used to purchase new equipment for the park.

Park Clean-up Day – Saturday, March 25th

Our first request for volunteers is coming soon. Every year before the season starts, we ask for volunteers to help prepare the park for the season. Some of the jobs will be to help clean and organize the clubhouse, concession and sheds. We will also be looking for help with some landscaping duties around the park as well raking and smoothing out the infields. We will be sending out an email soon specifically about park clean-up day.

OPENING DAY – Saturday, April 8th

The official start of Spring 2023! We will be having practices at all levels on Opening day and we will also be handing out some Easter candy for the kids…

Players and coaches should arrive 15-20 minutes early to get their uniforms prior to practice.

5U: 9:00-9:45 on Diamond 2
7U: 10:00-11:30 on Diamond 2
9U: 9:00-10:30 or 11:00-12:30 on Diamond 1 (email to be sent separately with individual start times)
11U: TBD by coaches
13UA: 12:00-2:00 on Diamond 2
13UAA: to be held on Sunday at 1:00

Volunteers
We are a volunteer run park and we hope that everyone will put some time in to help make Lions Baseball great.

Keep an eye out for emails from us as we will be putting out requests for volunteers throughout the season. As mentioned, the next volunteer opportunities will be our park clean-up on Saturday, March 25th and then Opening day on Saturday, April 8th.

For those of you who are new to the park, we are always in need of volunteers to rake the fields after every practice. In 9U and up, we need volunteers to help the coaches line fields prior to every game and rake the fields afterwards. In 11U and 13U, we will also need scorekeepers for every game.

Check out our Spirit Wear tab on this website! We have Lions hoodies, shirts and hats available for purchase through our clothing provider Teamworks. Orders and payments are done through the Teamworks website and then you pick up your purchases at their store at 784 Spruce Ave.
